PuppyUp Charlotte Walk — The Dogs, The Feels, and a Whole Lotta Love 🐶🎉
I’ll be at the very first PuppyUp! Charlotte Walk on May 17th — photographing pups, meeting people, and supporting a cause that means a lot to me. Events like this remind me why I do what I do: capturing real moments with real pets, especially the sweet seniors and those nearing their Rainbow Bridge journey. Come say hi, bring your dog, and let’s make some memories.
I Still Can’t Believe I Get to Do This
I didn’t know when I took my first photo of PJ that I’d be here now—surrounded by nose-smudged lenses, spontaneous slobber showers, and some of the purest joy I’ve ever experienced. Looking back at the pets I’ve photographed (and the wild faces they’ve made), I feel this overwhelming mix of gratitude and giddy disbelief. This is my job? Really?? Add in the fact that Adrian’s out here being my people-whispering, info-sharing MVP while I crouch in the grass making weird noises at dogs… yeah, I’m lucky. So lucky.
So Many Dogs, So Little Chill: My Pet Palooza Experience
Pet Palooza was a whirlwind of wagging tails, goofy grins, and joyful chaos—and I loved every second. I met so many amazing dogs (and humans!) and even got tackled by a few furry friends mid-photo. Here’s a look at the day, some of my favorite shots, and how you can book your own pet session!
Countdown to Pet Palooza: I'm Nervous, Excited, and Definitely Bringing Snacks
With Pet Palooza just days away, I’m equal parts pumped and panicking. I’ve got prints, treats, bowls, and probably way too many honey mustard pretzels packed. This post is all about the final countdown, what I’m bringing (emotionally and literally), and why this event means so much to me.
Let’s Hang Out at Pet Palooza! (Yes, There Will Be Dogs.)
I’m excited to be a vendor at Pet Palooza on April 12th in Charlotte! I’ll have some of my favorite pet portraits on display, free goodies (for both dogs and humans), and maybe even a chance to snap a photo of your pup. Come by, say hi, and let’s talk pets!
A Day with Mani, London & Monty: Capturing Personality in Pet Photography
Capturing the unique personalities of pets is what I love most about photography. Recently, I had the chance to photograph three incredible pets—London, Mani, and Monty—each with their own distinct energy and charm.
London, the spirited mini pincher, kept me on my toes with her curious expressions and confident stare. Mani, full of bold personality, struck powerful poses that highlighted his adventurous side. And Monty, the laid-back and thoughtful cat, gave me some of the most serene and soulful moments of the session.
Each pet brings something special to their session, and it’s always an honor to freeze these moments in time. Their quirks, their personalities, and those little details their owners love—those are what make each photo unforgettable.
Want to book a session for your pet? Let’s capture their story together!
